Product Description

A forestry mulcher does not clear land and haul it off, it clears land and leaves it behind as mulch. The Quick Attach Quick Mulch breaks trails, levels building sites, and cleans up storm damage, turning brush up to 10 inches into ground cover in one pass so there is no pile to burn or haul.

A variable displacement motor comes standard, and that is the feature worth understanding. It reads the load and picks its own balance of speed and torque, so the rotor keeps turning through a heavy bite instead of stalling out and making you back off and re-enter.

The rotor runs 30 teeth across a 60-inch width inside a 71-inch path. You choose knife-style steel teeth for faster cutting in cleaner material, or carbide-tipped teeth when you are working ground with rock and dirt that eat steel. A high-strength Kevlar belt transfers power without the slip and wear a standard belt gives up under sustained load.

Four models cover the flow range from 33 to 41 GPM and pressures from 3,000 to 4,500 psi. All of them require a case drain and a loader specific forestry kit, so check both against your machine before ordering.

Ideal For: Land clearing contractors, forestry crews, and large acreage owners who need to clear standing brush and small trees and leave the debris on site as mulch.

Key Features

  • 10-Inch Maximum Brush Capacity: Clears heavy brush and small trees without a separate felling step.
  • Variable Displacement Motor Standard: Adjusts speed and torque to the load so the rotor keeps turning.
  • Steel or Carbide Tooth Options: Knife-style steel for clean material, carbide for rocky, dirty ground.
  • 30 Teeth on a 60-Inch Rotor: Full 71-inch clearing path in a single pass.
  • High-Strength Kevlar Belt: Transfers power without the slippage and wear of a standard belt.
  • Replaceable Skid Shoes: Protect the base on rough terrain and swap out when worn.
  • Built-In System Protection: Guards the hydraulic circuit against spikes under sustained load.
  • Four Flow-Matched Models: 33 to 36 GPM and 37 to 41 GPM options across two pressure ranges.

Q&A

Q: Which of the four models do I need?
A: It comes down to your machine's flow and pressure. The HFM1000 and HFM1100 run 33 to 36 GPM, the HFM1200 and HFM1300 run 37 to 41 GPM. Within each pair, the lower model covers 3,000 to 3,600 psi and the higher covers 3,600 to 4,500 psi. Send us your machine's specs and we will point you at the right one.

Q: What plumbing does it require?
A: A case drain is required on all four models, and so is a loader specific forestry kit. Check both against your machine before ordering, because neither is optional and the forestry kit is machine-specific.

Q: Should I get steel or carbide teeth?
A: Knife-style steel teeth cut faster in clean material and cost less to replace. Carbide-tipped teeth hold up far better when you are working ground with rock, dirt and grit that destroy steel. If you are clearing storm damage or fence lines where the material has been on the ground, go carbide.

Q: What size material will it take?
A: Up to 10 inches of brush, across a 71-inch path from a 60-inch rotor carrying 30 teeth. The variable displacement motor comes standard and adjusts speed and torque to the load, so the rotor keeps turning through a heavy bite instead of stalling and making you back out.
