Most brush cutters stop at saplings. The Quick Attach Mega Mower X takes material up to 10 inches in diameter, which moves it out of the mowing category and into land clearing. The open front deck and heavy-duty push bar let you drive into standing growth and put it down rather than working around it.
Underneath, twelve carbide-tipped teeth on the bottom of the blade carrier stir cut material and grind at stumps as you pass, so the ground behind you is closer to finished. Four blades run on a 3/4-inch Grade 50 blade carrier, driven direct by a hydraulic motor with no gearbox in between.
The deck is built for repeat abuse. Quarter-inch side plates run the full length and tie into the push bar and supports, and 2-inch by 4-inch Grade 50 steel tubes carry the deck at roughly twice the strength of the C-channel most cutters use. Patent-pending serrated side plates let you limb overhanging branches as you clear, which saves a separate trip with a saw.
Three standard flow widths cover most machines: 66, 72, and 78 inches, all running on 15 to 25 GPM.
