There is a gap between a log splitter and a commercial firewood processor, and the Blacks Creek Model 1250 is built to fill it. This is a real processor that saws and splits in one pass, not a splitter with attachments bolted to it, and it mounts to the skid steer or tractor you already own so you are not buying a second machine to carry it.

It handles logs up to 16 inches in diameter and 8 feet long. There is no engine on the machine and nothing extra to fuel or service, because it runs entirely on your host machine's hydraulics through the rear remotes.

The 18-inch bar runs a 3/8 chain at 0.058-inch gauge with gravity-feed lubrication, so the bar stays oiled without you thinking about it. On the splitting side, a 3.5 by 24-inch cylinder pushes through an adjustable 4-way hydraulic wedge, and block length sets anywhere from 12 to 24 inches in 2-inch increments. That last detail matters more than it sounds: it means you cut to whatever your customers or your own stove actually take, rather than to whatever the machine was built around.

A 7-foot hydraulic chain in-feed deck keeps logs moving into the saw so you are not hand-feeding every piece. When the operation grows, the machine grows with it through a hydraulic log lift, an out-feed conveyor, and a live log deck.
