Product Description

Cleaning up after a clearing job is where the hours disappear. The Quick Attach Eagle Talon is a grapple rake built to take one large bite out of a brush pile instead of five small ones, then back rake the leftovers so you are not walking the site picking up sticks.

Two 3-inch by 8-inch cylinders deliver over 12 tons of clamping force, enough to crush brush piles down and grapple broken concrete. The grapple also closes tighter than most, which matters more than raw opening size when you are trying to pick up short pieces and awkward debris rather than dropping them back on the ground.

Teeth are Grade 50 steel with gussets between them and replaceable tips. That combination matters: gussets carry the load when you take a heavy bite, and replaceable tips mean you renew the wear points instead of replacing the grapple.

A note on steel, because the spec sheets in this category are misleading. Some manufacturers advertise 80 plate, which is a marketing name for Grade 36 steel quoting its maximum breaking strength of 80,000 PSI. Quick Attach publishes minimum bending strength instead. If a competitor states high tensile strength without naming the grade, it is generally mild Grade 36.

Ideal For: Land clearing contractors, excavation crews, and large property owners running mid-frame to large skid steers at 75 HP and up who need a grapple that handles logs, brush, and rock without switching attachments.

Key Features

  • Over 12 Tons of Cylinder Force: Two 3-inch by 8-inch cylinders crush brush piles and grip concrete.
  • 50-Inch Maximum Opening: Takes large bites out of piles so you make fewer passes.
  • Closes Tighter Than Conventional Grapples: Secure control of small and awkward material other grapples drop.
  • Gusseted Between Teeth: Gussets carry the load on heavy bites instead of letting teeth flex.
  • Replaceable Teeth Tips: Renew the wear points rather than replacing the whole grapple.
  • Grade 50 Steel Teeth: Rated on minimum bending strength, not maximum breaking strength.
  • 18-Inch Tine Length: Reaches into piles and back rakes small debris for faster cleanup.
  • Two Working Widths: 74-inch and 86-inch models to match your machine and your material.

Q&A

Q: What size machine do I need to run the Eagle Talon?
A: It is built for mid-frame to large skid steers, 75 HP and up. The 74-inch model weighs 1,258 lb and the 86-inch weighs 1,385 lb, so your machine needs the rated operating capacity to carry that plus a full grapple of material out front.

Q: Should I get the 74-inch or the 86-inch?
A: Match it to your machine and your material. The 74-inch has 7 lower teeth and the 86-inch has 8, both with 12 upper teeth and the same 50-inch maximum opening. The wider model moves more per bite, the narrower one fits tighter between trees and gets into smaller sites.

Q: What does Grade 50 steel actually mean here?
A: It is the real strength rating. Some manufacturers advertise 80 plate, which is a marketing name for Grade 36 steel quoted at its maximum breaking strength of 80,000 PSI. Quick Attach publishes minimum bending strength instead. If a competitor states high tensile strength without naming a grade, it is generally mild Grade 36.

Q: Are the teeth replaceable?
A: The tips are, which is the part that wears. That means you renew the working edges rather than replacing the whole grapple. The teeth are also gusseted between them, so the structure carries the load when you take a heavy bite instead of letting individual teeth flex.
